Some interesting anomalies spotted regarding NZ’s recent election

From eternalvigilance website, NZ. A few I note have been observing similar…

Very very suspect election results for the South Island.

Something fishy going on down in the Mainland with the election results!
The Otargo Daily Times reports that Labour won the party vote *in all 17* South Island electorates!
That is a high statistical improbability in it’s own right, yet the situation gets even more shady when you see how many Electorate seats National actually won down there.

See below….
Party vote stats from Otago daily times.
Electorate Seats stats from TV 1 news Election results

Be sure and check how sanitized your mask is – and spare a thought for the sweatshop labour

This appeared in my feed today. As the person who shared it said…”I hope everyone is enjoying their sanitized masks”. A point to ponder. I have no idea what country this hails from but I dare say they are paid pennies per day for their tireless, unrewarding slave labour… yet another blot on the books of the corporates and their corporations that use and abuse with impunity. They will be making top dollar from this forced labour. It’s the way corporations work. And yes we hope there’s no virus we might catch on the floor or anywhere else there…. especially on the masks. Remember, corporations also lie without conscience. They are fined regularly for this, the fines are out weighed by the monetary rewards for sales. It’s how they roll.
So are you noticing any holes in the narrative people? (No pun intended) EWR

Seasonal workers from the Solomon Islands report exploitation to MBIE – hear the damning interview

From newsroom.co.nz

Taped after a group of workers complained to MBIE about Rarere, it reveals him threatening to withhold an allowance, report them to Immigration NZ, and then withhold flights back to their home countries.

“They said they didn’t have any employment. They didn’t have any money to buy food, and they were hungry.”

One worker decided to tape record the meeting after the group made a complaint to the Ministry of Business Innovation and Employment’s Labour Inspectorate.

NZ is spending $20 billion on military hardware while 43K remain homeless

Yes, sure we really do need all this military hardware in NZ … after all it’s all rolling out across the US as well. Key did quite a bit of footwork on that front as I recall, oiling the war machine with his (expensive) celebrations in Auckland. And now as we have the global agenda 21/30 unfolding right in front of our eyes, and looming fascist plans for global vaccination among other things, well as Trump himself said, he will call on the military to assist with that. Adern’s given quite a few millions we can’t afford (but no worries they’ll just conjure up some more out of thin air to cover it) and well, what’s a few billion for tanks and things? We sure need those more than we need homes for the homeless don’t we, given the other part of the govt sold a quarter of them off to their property developer mates. But no worries again, Adern will just keep popping them into motels well at least it makes it look like something’s being done. Meanwhile whatever happened to the most recent suicide stats I heard they disappeared off the MOH website just before the cv lockdown. Anybody know? Guess they knew it would escalate for some in such trying and stressful times … especially those whose businesses hit the wall, or those who really were afraid of the pandemic that was predicted to kill off millions.

Enjoy your military hardware peeps. You might well see some of it rolling down your street one day soon. EWR

From Stuff

Defence Minister Ron Mark is standing by a huge military spend-up amid the economic havoc wrought by coronavirus.

He says the spending, the most since the depths of the Cold War, is required because climate change will place new demands on the NZ Defence Force (NZDF).

Billions have already been committed to new equipment such as the four P8 Poseidon maritime patrol aircraft set to replace the P-3 Orions.

After locking in five new Super Hercules to replace the Air Force’s aged transport fleet, Mark said his top priority is sorting out new armoured vehicles for the Army.

Labour MPs receive gifts from Huawei which wants to roll out 5G in NZ

These were formerly termed bribes. Gifts sounds better though doesn’t it? Not so borderline criminal? And who reports them as ‘gifts’? Why NZ mainstream whore media of course, they’re all in each others’ corporate pockets. Well in bed with each other would be more to the point. Takoha, the time worn tactic from way back & still in business. Only small gifts somebody has said, still large or small it has the same magical effect.

From tvnz

It’s been revealed several Labour MPs have accepted gifts from controversial Chinese Communication company Huawei.

MPs have to register interests such as assets, debts and gifts they have received, and the list as at 31 January 2019 was presented to Parliament today.

Police Minister Stuart Nash accepted tickets and hospitality to an All Blacks v France rugby game from Huawei Technologies.

Māori Development, Local Government and Associate Environment Minister Nania Mahuta received Warriors v Canberra Raiders match tickets and hospitality from Huawei New Zealand.

Corrections Minister Kelvin Davis accepted All Blacks test tickets from Huawei.

List MP and Junior Whip Kiri Allan received two All Blacks tickets, food, and beverages in Wellington from Huawei.

Huawei wants to role out the 5G network in New Zealand but there is pressure from international partners not to let them.

The GCSB is still making it’s final decision on the matter.

Why you may want to cross socialist NZ off your vacation list

Fabianwolflamb (1)“New Zealand has become the first country to fine passengers who refuse to hand over their phone passwords at the border.”

The ‘new world order’, aka ‘world order’ according to the latest ‘now you see it now you don’t’ fiasco from stuff, are said to be Fabian Socialists.

RELATED: JACINDA ADERN & LABOUR: TRUTH EXPOSED

The Fabian Socialists’ original logo, designed by George Bernard Shaw, a wolf in sheep’s clothing or a sheep skin to be more precise, says it all people. Research the Fabian Socialists, known as the Fabian Society. There’s more to them than meets the eye. To learn more read at the logo link above and also go to NZer Dr Naomi Jacobs’ ebook (download here). Dr Jacobs said:

“I decided to write the book following my initial shock in reading the New Zealand Herald, November 3, 2012, article, ‘Kaipara rates rebellion grows,’ about the huge, extortionate property rates/tax increases being imposed by Kaipara District Council on ratepayers in New Zealand.

After an extensive study of Marxism/Socialism/Communism over many years – upon reading the article, it immediately became plain to me that what was happening to Kaipara citizens and ratepayers was not only unique to New Zealand – but was part of a global plot now taking place in all countries planned many years ago by the British Fabian Society.

Basically, I believe, Kaipara District Council is being insidiously used as a “test case …”

These folk (the Fabian crew) bring changes in tiny increments so you won’t hopefully notice. Fortunately some folk are noticing. This increased surveillance & inroad into your privacy are justified by so called threats to national security. All a manufactured threat brought about of course by the inside job nine eleven. If you don’t believe me please figure out how tower 7 fell when it was not hit by a plane, just one of the many conundrums evident when looking at this event. (Watch the doco Loose Change on all of that).

The article below describes the latest inroad into your slowly vanishing freedoms Kiwis. Thanks to Peter at thecontrail.com for this link.

From armstrongeconomics.com

Ever since the Socialists took over New Zealand, it demonstrates how they presume everyone is guilty and they might be hiding money that they can confiscate all because rich bastards are not entitled to what they earn – it belongs to them always. If you refuse, the fine is $5,000.

New Zealand has become the first country to fine passengers who refuse to hand over their phone passwords at the border. Obviously, forget New Zealand. The New Zealand Customs and Excise Act 2018, which went into effect this week, allows customs officials to demand passwords, PINs and encryption keys to unlock devices for “digital strip searches” of anyone traveling to New Zealand.

Unfortunately, some other countries are watching closely. They will let you in if you pay the $5,000 fine and you cannot refuse and get on the next plane without paying the $5,000 fine. This is what lies in store when socialists grab control. Freedom of the individual NO LONGER exists!!!! The state comes before God, family, or human rights.

When you travel, you should get a burner phone. You cannot have anything private on your person. Welcome to 1984 – it was just a little late! Obviously, cross New Zealand off the list for vacations.

Labour is fixing the Nat-created housing crisis with Agenda 21/30 emergency units that look not unlike prison cells

1516852828757.jpg
The emergency housing ‘cells’ under construction… Photo: stuff.co.nz

As we know the Nats created a great hole in the State owned housing stock by selling off & land banking properties situated on prime real estate. Now Labour’s set to fix it with ‘affordable’ tiny housing. This is the global trend of course under the UN’s plan for sustainable development. (Sustainably developing developers’ bank accounts, nothing much else is being sustained … note worst pollution of waterways ever, councils are lip service only). With large swathes of the South Island just sold (rather gifted) off shore, governments/corporations have been full on privatising all our state assets with Public Private Partnerships that you all should examine a little more closely. More smoke and mirrors. For a full exposé you need to read Dr Naomi Jacobs’ ebook, a link there to the pdf is on the Agenda 21/30 in NZ page.

Further food for thought is the current new law in Australia that stops you declining vaccination for you or your child (or face 10 years imprisonment) and the stopping of private citizens and asking for papers/ID in the US. This is the beginnings of a totalitarian Police State agenda. That is the fairly plain writing I am seeing on the wall.

Here are the NZ tiny houses from stuff.co.nz … where are the windows?!

Housing crisis solution described as ‘design and planning monstrosity’

A building expert has slammed the Government’s latest emergency housing solution as a “design and planning monstrosity”.

Engineering consultant Jonathan Smith said the design of the small West Auckland units was unacceptable.

“The units are an eyesore and a design fail.”

The one-bedroom properties have already been criticised for looking like “prison cells”.

Single people would live in the prefabricated dwellings, for an average of three months, under the Government’s transitional housing programme.

Smith said the units were a “design and planning monstrosity”.

Labour may target ‘extremist’ views on vaccination (ie we may not let you choose)

This article is from the 15th March this year, the Otago Daily Times. And the cheek!  “One of the freedoms enjoyed by “extremist” religious people in New Zealand… ” ….  “enjoyed”? … what a damned cheek! The freedom to choose our own health options is extremist!? “Not that long ago most people thought smoking in bars was acceptable,” the MP says … yes and not that long ago Doctors RECOMMENDED smoking for our health til folks wised up to the medical health SCAM! It’s all on isn’t it? Same political bird here, just the other wing here flapping away with the same old. Watch and see what transpires.  EnvirowatchRangitikei

One of the freedoms enjoyed by “extremist” religious people in New Zealand may be curtailed under a Labour-led Government.Health spokesman and Dunedin North MP David Clark said he would support New Zealand following Australia and banning unvaccinated children from child care centres and preschools.

However, the implications of the move would be properly investigated before it was implemented, Dr Clark said.

“Not that long ago most people thought smoking in bars was acceptable,” he said.

Dr Clark, who has a degree in theology and is a Presbyterian minister, said children’s rights were “paramount” in healthcare.

“The rights of children always have to be protected.”

“There are good examples where fringe religions would hold that you can do things to children which most of society would find abhorrent, and I am not at all apologetic about wanting to override those things.

“There might be a need to curtail extremist religious views [in terms of vaccination],” Dr Clark said.

University of Otago preventive and social medicine senior lecturer Dr Richard Egan, an authority on spirituality in health, said there was growing awareness of the importance of spirituality in healthcare.

Dunne & dusted

Lest folks get upset at the opinions of other authors, bear in mind we can’t agree with everybody. Their opinions aren’t always mine but I appreciate them nevertheless. This post is a political comment. I certainly agree on the point that politics has become farcical. The usual dog and pony show.

Dunne & Dusted

From William McGregor

What a joke N.Z. politics have become ….

Just watched the 6 o’clock news and we see that the second biggest PARASITE in politics (behind Winnie) has thrown his hand in; the polls said people have had enough of him “warming his seat” after 30 (odd) years in Parliament – (and I mean ODD)…. and achieving “sweet fanny adams”!
Never mind Peter; you milked the gravy train nicely; all Dunne & dusted!
The polls seem to be saying it’s all about appearances rather than policies …. old “farts” out/ pretty new faces in.
Why not just change the flower vases in the Bee-hive if you’re wanting a fresh look ….

National’s last minute election lollipop, while NZ’s child poverty ranks 3rd highest in the developed world

National is going to CAP going to the Doctors at $18 …. but, only if they get back in….
It took EIGHT YEARS to come up with that little gem! Pfffttt!!!
There are NO “NEW” POLICIES – ANYWHERE …. regardless of which Party you listen to.

Instead, we have an “Auction” on a GRAND SCALE …
National = 2 Billion Bucks and a couple of new hospitals…..
Labour = We’ll see you 2 Billion & a couple of hospitals, and raise you with a reduction in costs for your medication ….
National = We’ll see that, and raise you with an $18 cap on Doctors fees …. C’mon Labour …. it’s your call – raise or fold!

Our Politics is fast approaching the U.S. (Trump v. Clinton) debacle …. there IS NO HOPE when we are just playing who can offer the most lollies to the multitudes …. It’s a bloody JOKE!

The illusion of choice & why the Nats (who usually don’t care about the poor) are welcoming more refugees

From William McGregor

Y’ know, we have an election coming up later in the year, and all I seem to hear from the die-hard Kiwis is “National has got to go; Key & his ‘cronies’ have sold us out (to overseas investors)”!
And they’d be right, but there’s a far BIGGER issue going on here, if you take the time to dig deeper! Here’s what I see; this is MY view ….

Politics in Aotearoa has always been between TWO major parties – no different than almost every country in the world; that’s just the way it has ALWAYS been.
Yes – other smaller parties have come (& gone) & they have been more of a DISTRACTION than a help; and they serve to make people feel there ARE other alternatives, but there’s not – there’s left or right, (up or down, in or out) – that’s just how it is!

Third, fourth generation Kiwis have grown tired of the same old record playing the same old song…. we went backwards & forwards – National/Labour, Labour/National and it got to a stage where Labour was looking forward to having their turn again …..

Key did some VERY SERIOUS DAMAGE ….

11027945_10155204934275468_5671425971077631228_n

Selling out to overseas investors, back-door deals – leaving faster than he came into the political arena; this WASN’T by chance; this is VERY ORCHESTRATED by very POWERFUL PEOPLE, something most can’t BEGIN to understand!

Polls (strategically held in specific areas) have been used by the media to manipulate the masses! If those polls were held in Otara (Auckland), Highbury (Palmerston North) or Aramoho (Whanganui), they would be SO DIFFERENT they wouldn’t be recognizable!

Seventy to eighty thousand immigrants (refugees) a year over the last few years – that wasn’t by chance either! THINK! Those who arrived since 2008, and have applied (& got) voting rights, WHO do you think they would vote for? – the party that brought/allowed them (& their families) here, or the other party?! Straight up …. and they’re PUSHING New Zealanders to take a minimum 50 thousand per annum; they are GUARANTEED VOTES for them (National). Who bites the hand that feeds them?! They (the NEW New Zealanders) would feel OBLIGATED to vote for National; most would see Aotearoa as “Club Med” compared to the countries they came from!

We can’t even accommodate our own, yet the “Government Depts. can’t help our new arrivals enough…. housing/benefits/medical/schooling/employment …. by chance?! – NOT ON YOUR NELLY!

Regardless of party policies, you will ALWAYS go to the ones you feel are your rescuers, and National know this; they RELY on it, and they will play it to the hilt!

And we will let them, because that’s how we roll …

______________________________________________________

Ask yourself, what do the Nats care about the homeless in NZ, about child poverty, about youth suicide? Under their terms we’ve seen those stats worsen to the point we’re the world’s worst at all of them! And so in that light the above opinion rings very true. Were they truly caring they would also be caring for their own. They’re not. As I repeat regularly, under their watch we have all these dubious stats of shame. They don’t even flinch about it. Business as usual. So the caring motive doesn’t hold water for me. And it’s not about Kiwis not caring for the needs of refugees. I’m sure most us do. The point here is, we’re deep in the mire with 42K homeless. Their doing. I have noticed, Herald’s published an article with the affirmation of no less than four other former NZ PMs on the need to welcome 500 new refugees now.  So four other riders (of the same horse) agree. Very comforting.  EnvirowatchRangitikei

‘The Grenfell Tower fire is a crime of epic proportions’ David Lammy, Labour MP interview

Published on Jun 21, 2017

David Lammy says heads ‘need to be on the block’ over the Grenfell Tower fire in west London. He told me he wants to see resignations and a proper police investigation into the failure to protect scores of people from being burnt to death in their own homes.

Lammy, who is the Labour MP for Tottenham, says the fire is comparable to Hurricane Katrina and talked to me about the very real effects of austerity.

A Horowhenua Group has presented 2,300+ signatures to HDC opposing the community housing sale & raise many unanswered questions about this secret deal

Further to our previous article on this topic, this information is quoted with permission from the Facebook page of the Horowhenua District Ratepayers’ and Residents’ Association. It speaks to some of the questions people have been asking in the past few days since the sale of Horowhenua’s community housing, and raises many more. I find it concerning there was only ONE councillor on a publicly excluded council panel evaluating pensioner housing proposals. Read the other concerns they raise.

Horowhenua District Council mayor Michael Feyen accepts the petition from one of the organisers Christine Moriarty and petition supporters in council chambers.

“The sale must be halted and HUG will fight to the end to stop this sale from proceeding. Watch this space” Andrea Smyth, spokesperson

A Horowhenua group that presented a petition to district mayor Michael Feyen signed by 2300 in ten days by people objecting to the sale of their dedicated pensioner housing vows to fight on to prevent what they call the stripping out of a significant asset in a questionable land deal.

As well as 115 units spread throughout the district the pensioner housing portfolio also includes one point one hectare of land in Levin and is estimated to be worth in real terms at least $26 million.

The petition was organised by a group against the pensioner housing sale called Horowhenua United Group (HUG) which includes Horowhenua District Ratepayers and Residents Assoc Inc, the MuaUpoko Co-operative Society, Labour Party and NZ First.

Councillor Jo Mason who chairs council’s wellbeing committee, and was the only councillor on a publicly excluded council panel evaluating pensioner housing proposals, was invited to accept the petition too but her only response to HUG was a text that said, “Got your message-will call when I am free.” She never did call back.

HUG spokesperson Andrea Smythe said further action may include legal action to argue in favour of setting up a Trust, instead of selling, one of the options which seventy people who attended a community organised public meeting recently voted in favour of.

Details of the sale of the pensioner housing have been leaking like a sieve ever since land developer and Cr Wayne Bishop emerged from a publicly excluded council meeting on the sale last Tuesday to announce the pensioner housing asset had been sold.

Since then questions and speculations have been running rife including that a community housing provider will lease the land and the land has been sold separately. But the most damaging claim of all is that certain unnamed council officers and councillors have set up a company to buy the land.

Ms Smythe, “We have a right to know whether this is true and if it is true is it even legal? Can council officers and councillors set up a company arrangement to benefit financially and personally from the sale of a significant publicly owned asset?

“Can the title to an asset we have been told by chief executive David Clapperton all along will be bought by a stage one community housing provider be split up like this? If this is all true we are feeling greatly deceived by our own council especially if it eventuates that some council officers and councillors will be financially benefiting by millions of dollars from the sale.

“Especially when shareholders are very angry about the proposed sale and furthermore have been denied access to the details of the sale agreement partly by the very same council officers and councillors who are said to be involved in setting up a business structure to buy the land the pensioner housing is built on.

Also, if this is all true [and it’s bad enough if it is] does this therefore questionable sale still fall within the mandate of being considered a community housing provider in a legal and statutory sense if the community provider leases the land and doesn’t own it?”

“Community housing providers are eligible for tax and Government financial benefits but will the landowners, if they are a separate entity, also be eligible for Government discounts? Or will the new landowners charge leases based on indirectly financially benefiting from Government tax and other financial incentives provided by the Government to the community housing provider?

“All this does is raise further concerns about what kind of deal has been done and whether it is true the land will be leased to a community housing provider already publicly named as the Sisters of Compassion.

“We have grave concerns whether this sale agreement conforms with expected practice in the provision of community housing services. What would happen if the leases go up and then these increases are passed on to the tenants? How would that be fulfilling the community housing contract?

“And if it is true the Sisters of Compassion will be leasing the land to provide the community housing services how long will the terms of the lease be? Is this a thinly disguised attempt to landbank a valuable housing portfolio so the landowners can make a profit at a later date? Who is the person or company who are buying a significant amount of land locally if the land is being sold as a separate entity? Do the new owners include council representatives?

“Perhaps the plan is to landbank the asset until further down the legislative track when land developers may be able to register as community housing providers to secure financial benefits through tax and other Government incentives. There are far more questions than answers though surrounding this significant ratepayer and resident asset that houses our most vulnerable elderly residents which makes this sale untenable. And we want answers to these serious concerns,” she said.

If attempts at stopping the sale fails HUG would also like to know what plans council has for the money from the sale of the pensioner housing portfolio as, “I am sure the ratepayers and residents would like to know whether there is any profits from the sale and what will happen with the profits. Will the money be set aside in a separate account?” said Ms Smythe.

One of the criticisms leveled at council by internationally recognised financial organisation Standard and Poor’s in a recent credit rating report was the council did not have enough “cash assets” so HUG wants to know what will happen with cash assets from this sale?

“Will the cash assets from the fire sale of this valuable asset, that will never be able to be replaced, just be absorbed into council’s general income stream to disappear forever from public scrutiny? Will our rates decrease so the ratepayers and residents, the shareholders of this significant asset, see a real return too on their asset? Is council even proposing they do this? No, they are not, but the shareholders should get to financially benefit too if the sale does proceed. So, what will happen to any cash profits from the sale,” Ms Smythe said.

The group says the way decisions have been made on this important local matter contravenes at least council’s own draft significance and engagement policy and the spirit and intention of the Local Official Government and Meetings Act to behave with openess and transparency not to mention perceived claims of fraudulent behaviour in the event it is true council officers and councillors are involved in the land sale.

“We have seen this council hold secret meetings under the cloak of ‘commercial confidentiality’ far too frequently and with little cause which is why we don’t trust this sale process or even recognise council’s mandate to sell this significant taonga on our behalf,” said Ms Smythe

“The sale must be halted and HUG will fight to the end to stop this sale from proceeding. Watch this space,” she said.

Important TPPA Updates

From itsourfuture website’s bulletin

fce11444-8958-4634-a0da-1c5bb5853835

Bulletin #82
20 January 2016

TPPA signing Auckland, 4 February

The secrecy-obsessed New Zealand government finally admitted that the signing would take place in Auckland but still hasn’t confirmed the date (although Chile and Peru governments did) or a location, although it almost certainly won’t be at Sky City as previously rumoured. Apparently the delay in confirming a date is because some governments (possibly Canada, Japan, Malaysia) haven’t fulfilled their pre-signing procedures – neither has New Zealand. The lack of a democratic mandate isn’t holding our government back. Hopefully several TPPA nations may decide not to sign.

The signing is largely symbolic but governments will try to use it as an opportunity to talk up the TPPA in the media. It will be signed by Trade Ministers (Todd McClay has replaced Tim Groser – we don’t yet know whether Groser will be there). Whatever happens the campaign is not over! This is not the final step by any means. The TPPA still needs to be ratified in NZ and opposition is growing in the US. There is more campaigning coming up. See TPPA campaign overview, democracy vs TPPA blog.

Lori Wallach and Jane Kelsey: Don’t sign speaking tour 26-29 January

In the lead-up to the signing, leading US critic of the TPPA and the most knowledgeable person about what’s happening in Washington, Lori Wallach the Director of Public Citizen Global Trade Watch, will join TPPA expert Jane Kelsey for a short speakers’ tour. See It’s Our Future website for downloadable posters. Lori and Jane Kelsey will speak at:
·       Auckland Town Hall on 26th January at 7pm – with a political panel including Andrew Little (Labour) tbc, Metiria Turei (Greens), Fletcher Tabuteau (NZ First) and Marama Fox (Maori Party).
·       Wellington, St Andrews Centre on the Terrace on 27th at 7pm
·       Christchurch Cardboard Cathedral on 28th at 7pm
·       Dunedin at Burns Hall, Moray Place on 29th at 7pm

These events will be free, with a donation requested. Arrive early, because it’s first come, first in the door, and we are going to try to fill these venues!!

Funding the campaign
Our Give a Little page to help fund the TPPA campaign page is now live. Please donate generously  because we have no money at present and we are incurring big costs for the campaign (around $10,000 for the Auckland Town Hall meeting alone). This account will support the costs of these events and ongoing campaign actions over the next few months. If you have other fundraising suggestions, contact Barry Coates at itsourfuturenz@gmail.com. We acknowledge the generous support of individuals and organisations and will include a list of those in the next Bulletin. So please let them know that now’s a good time to donate!

4 February at 12pm: Join the TPPA Don’t Sign march down Queen St. Lunchtime campaigners can then peel off and the rest of us will join others at our campaign base in nearby Victoria Park for music, speeches and campaign news.

4 February: We don’t know the venue for the meeting but there may be people who will want to go there to occupy the venue or block access. There may also be other civil disobedience happening around the signing. We request that any group who does so respects the principles of non-violence and does not damage the property of citizens. We have huge support from the public for the campaign and the media will be looking for photos and stories to discredit our movement.

We will try to organise billets for visitors in homes and on a marae. Please Email itsourfuturenz@gmail.com if you want accommodation.

Waitangi

There will be actions against the TPPA in Waitangi and it is clear that the government is not welcome at Waitangi if they sign.

Nationwide

30 January at 10pm: Check out the fantastic Cars against the TPPA protests that are happening in Christchurch, Wellington, Auckland, Palmerston North, Hamilton, Tauranga, Auckland and Whangarei.

Local Action
Take action in your community. Declare your community or workplace a TPPA Free Zone.

Call on Councils to take action through the TPPA Policy Solution based on Auckland and Wellington District Council resolutions.

‘Don’t sign’ Petition
The Don’t sign petition is up to 33,000 signatures after one week. Thanks to our friends at ActionStation for hosting. Spread it far and wide. We need to let the government (and the media) know that the is no democratic mandate to sign the TPPA. Let’s aim for 100,000 signatures by the time of signing.

Petition to the Governor General
The petition to the Governor General to exercise his powers to prevent the government from signing the TPPA is getting out there. Please volunteer to collect signatures. The petition has gained visibility and support from a Bryan Gould article showing the tight government control of public accountability mechanisms.

Research and Fact sheets
This is going to be a big week for our research information. The expert peer-reviewed research papers are being launched this week for the Environment, te Tiriti and Economics of the TPPA. There’s lots of good info in there so please visit the TPP Legal website. The latest information across all the issues in the final TPPA text is in the Key Issues paper.
