NZ is spending $20 billion on military hardware while 43K remain homeless

Yes, sure we really do need all this military hardware in NZ … after all it’s all rolling out across the US as well. Key did quite a bit of footwork on that front as I recall, oiling the war machine with his (expensive) celebrations in Auckland. And now as we have the global agenda 21/30 unfolding right in front of our eyes, and looming fascist plans for global vaccination among other things, well as Trump himself said, he will call on the military to assist with that. Adern’s given quite a few millions we can’t afford (but no worries they’ll just conjure up some more out of thin air to cover it) and well, what’s a few billion for tanks and things? We sure need those more than we need homes for the homeless don’t we, given the other part of the govt sold a quarter of them off to their property developer mates. But no worries again, Adern will just keep popping them into motels well at least it makes it look like something’s being done. Meanwhile whatever happened to the most recent suicide stats I heard they disappeared off the MOH website just before the cv lockdown. Anybody know? Guess they knew it would escalate for some in such trying and stressful times … especially those whose businesses hit the wall, or those who really were afraid of the pandemic that was predicted to kill off millions.

Enjoy your military hardware peeps. You might well see some of it rolling down your street one day soon. EWR

Defence Minister Ron Mark is standing by a huge military spend-up amid the economic havoc wrought by coronavirus.

He says the spending, the most since the depths of the Cold War, is required because climate change will place new demands on the NZ Defence Force (NZDF).

Billions have already been committed to new equipment such as the four P8 Poseidon maritime patrol aircraft set to replace the P-3 Orions.

After locking in five new Super Hercules to replace the Air Force’s aged transport fleet, Mark said his top priority is sorting out new armoured vehicles for the Army.

NZ’s 43K+ homeless can now sleep easy on their park benches as Mahia Rocket lab’s new partnership gears to protect us all from terrorists

Rocket Lab to launch satellite with ‘defence’ applications to tackle terrorism from Mahia

A satellite with “security and defence” applications, due to be launched from Mahia, is expected to help security services across the globe intercept secret radio transmissions from terrorists and drug smugglers… NZ Herald

So Rocket Lab, already the recipient of $25million of your tax payer dollars Kiwis, is potentially playing a part in protecting us from the threat of terrorists,  sparked off by the inside job controlled demolition nine eleven. Yes it is set to “geolocate maritime radio to guard borders, protect assets and save lives.”  …geolocating “VHF transmissions from marine vessels to provide global activity-based intelligence data as a service.” The essential intelligence.

I am certain the 43K+ homeless NZers will be pleased that all of this money will be spent ensuring they will sleep easy in their cars and on park benches.

The NZ Herald is reporting on the latest at the Mahia Rocket Lab on the East Coast of NZ….

“A satellite with “security and defence” applications, due to be launched from Mahia, is expected to help security services across the globe intercept secret radio transmissions from terrorists and drug smugglers.

Orbital launch provider Rocket Lab has signed a contract with Luxembourg-based satellite technology company Kleos Space to launch “scouting mission satellites” that will geolocate maritime radio to “guard borders, protect assets and save lives”.

The Kleos Scouting Mission (KSM) will form the cornerstones of a 20-system constellation that will geolocate VHF transmissions from marine vessels to provide global activity-based intelligence data as a service.

The Kleos Space constellation will detect radio transmissions and pinpoint their origin and timing, enabling governments and organisations to detect activity such as drug and people smuggling, illegal fishing and piracy, and also identify those in need of search and rescue at sea.

Built by GomSpace, the Kleos Space satellites are scheduled to launch on an Electron rocket from Rocket Lab’s Launch Complex-1facility in Mahia, in mid-2019.

“Small satellite technology like that of Kleos Space is increasingly playing a vital role in informing decisions on the ground that protect people and the environment,” Rocket Lab chief executive Peter Beck said.

“We’re thrilled to be partnering with Kleos Space to provide them with the rapid and reliable access to orbit needed to build and replenish small satellite constellations.”

The satellites will be integrated into Rocket Lab’s in-house designed and built Maxwell dispensers and deployed from the Electron kick stage to low Earth orbit.

Rocket Lab’s kick stage, powered by the 3D printed Curie engine, is designed to circularise small satellite orbits and perform complex manoeuvres, including multiple engine burns, to deploy many satellites into different orbits.

This provides unmatched mission flexibility, making it ideal for deploying and replenishing constellations.

Official Information requested by Horizons from NZ Defence Force about an environmental hazard at Ohakea Air Base was not disclosed for more than a year later

Becoming a familiar story isn’t it? (They legally have around 21 days to come up with the requested info).

Recently we saw they’d declined to notify the public of the presence of 1080 in storage which they should be doing (remember Whitianga?). Or if it is burnt which they also recently declined to do in Levin. And increasingly, info is declined in the OI requests. I’ve also been hearing lately information about the burial/dumping of 1080 & also of asbestos in ‘unknown’ locations! If folk know anything they need to blow the whistle. This is an area of total cover up in more ways than one. Yet another illustration that the ‘sustainable’ verbiage on the council websites is just that & of no particular use except to pull the wool as the saying goes. Sustainable practices stopped with Rogernomics. The history is long and damning. EnvirowatchRangitikei

Horizons Regional Council’s chairman has blasted the Defence Force for keeping his organisation in the dark about contamination from firefighting foam used at Ohakea airbase.

The regional council was not told groundwater and water supplies might be contaminated until December last year – many months after the Defence Force knew of a potential problem.

“We are the environmental agency and they wanted to keep it from us,” Horizons chairman Bruce Gordon said.

“We found out from the media [about the contamination] because the Defence Force didn’t want to share it with us.”

It was revealed last week Horizons Regional Council  was asked for information about water systems near Ohakea Air Force Base in Rangitīkei three times before it was told there was a contamination problem involving firefighting foam.

The first request for information came as early as April 2016 – a year after the Defence Force received the first results of tests – but officials didn’t let on to the regional council that some water was contaminated until December 2017.

NASA is hiring people to DEFEND Earth from Extraterrestrial threats – SERIOUSLY

Lest you think this a hoax here is the NASA link to apply:  at USAJobs.gov

From ancient-code.com

Do you have what it takes to be part of NASA’s latest group? Their goal is simple: Protect Earth from extraterrestrial threats.

It almost sounds like a superhero description right? We need YOU to protect humanity from the dangers of outer space, from aliens to anything else that might pose a threat. Well, ok, it’s not quite like that, but the job description isn’t far from it.

This is your chance for a job that is out of the ordinary and very well paid. The US Government has opened a vacancy at NASA, and anyone who gets the role will protect the Earth from extraterrestrial pollution and vice versa.

The position one lucky person will get was created after the signing of the Outer Space Treaty in 1967 and was formed to make sure that humans, during space exploration don’t contaminate planets, moons, or any other objects they come into contact in space. However, the job also has to take care of any unwanted extraterrestrial micros from getting to Earth. We don’t want an alien virus striking down Earth, do we?
