STEEL CUT OATMEAL IS FAR BETTER FOR PEOPLE WHO HAVE DIABETES, AS THIS FORM OF OATMEAL DOES NOT SPIKE SUGAR. RECENTLY I HAVE MADE A DISH OF OATMEAL AND SCALLOPS. ADD WATER TO SCALLOPS ALONG WITH GENEROUS AMOUNT OF ROSEMARY AND ONION POWDER. COOK SCALLOPS UNTIL 3/4 DONE THEN ADD OATMEAL AND COOK FOOD UNTIL COMPLETED.

    ROMAINE LETTUCE CAN ALSO BE COOKED AND NOT JUST USED FOR SALADS. ONE OTHER DISH I HAVE MADE: ROMAINE LETTUCE, TURNIP GREENS, SWEET ONION, WATER CREST, AND SPINACH. COOK (BOIL) UNTIL ALMOST COMPLETED THEN ADD TOMATO PASTE. YOU DO NOT NEED TO ADD ANY SEASONING, AS ALL OF THESE INGREDIENTS FLAVOR THEMSELVES.

    WE CAN ALSO USE WILD EDIBLES FOR FOOD AND IN COOKING; SUCH AS, PURSLANE, AND FIREWEED. I HAVE USED FINELY DICED ROSE PEDALS (NO CHEMICALS) IN SCRAMBLED EGGS.
