Fascism & The Singularity

Left Hook by Dean Henderson

Wormhole, Space, Time, Light, Tunnel, Black, HoleBenito Mussolini defined fascism as the merger of the corporation and the state. 1. Fascism is all about control over people and forcing them to confirm to a set of beliefs, the major one of which is that the well-being of the state is more important than the well-being of individuals within the state. It respects the principle of private property, but does not respect freedom of choice where it is seen to conflict with the set of beliefs. Fascism will endorse monopoly and privilege where it sees them as appropriate. If it all seems like Jacinda’s government in practice (short of her ideology that the government should also own everything of economic significance), it is.
